Overview
Word Report Preview Exceptions
Word Report-Made CPT File Directly Downloaded When Previewed in the Browser
Cause: The setting about PDF files in the browser causes the problem (as the template is previewed in the PDF format).
Solution: Modify the browser setting. Take Google Chrome as an example. Choose Privacy and security > Site settings > Additional content settings > PDF documents, and set Default behavior to Open PDFs in Chrome, as shown in the following figure.
Error After Preview
Problem: The error message "Compile template failed" is displayed after the Word report preview.
Cause: Currently, only Word files with the .docx extension are supported. Word files with the .doc extension are not supported.
Solution: Save Word files as files with the .docx extension, through which you can create Word reports.
Embedded Fonts Displayed As Default Ones
Problem: Embedded fonts are displayed as default ones, as shown in the following figure.
Cause:
1. The installed fonts are not embeddable.
2. Embed fonts in the file is not selected in Word storage.
Solution: Set the embedded font's attribute to be installable, as shown in the following figure.
Partial Area(Including the Referenced Report Area) Displayed Abnormally in the Imported Chart
Problem: Part of the imported chart area (including the referenced report area) is not displayed or displayed abnormally (such as incomplete or repeated display).
Cause: The column spacing in Word has been changed to a fixed value, causing the figure to be displayed abnormally.
Solution: Modify the column spacing for the area with the chart inserted.
Error Displayed for Partial Data In the Imported Chart or Table
Problem:
1. The error message "TemplateRenderPolicy render" is displayed for partial data in the imported chart.
2. The error message "ThrowException(AbstractRenderPolicyjava:83), com.deepoove.poi.policy.AbstractRenderPolicy.render" is displayed for partial data in the imported table.
Cause:
1. Data in the chart and table comes from cells. The referenced cell data includes empty columns (or empty values).
2. The referenced cells include empty ones.
Solution:
1. Check whether any empty columns exist. If so, delete them and re-reference cell data.
2. Delete the referenced empty cells or set the format formula $$$ for cells.
Preview Error
Problem: The error message "no docx file on this file" is displayed during preview. Cause: The Word Report plugin version in the plugins folder are inconsistent with that in the path %FR_HOME%\webroot\WEB-INF\plugins.
Solution: Synchronize the plugin versions in these two folders.
Storage Failure in Word
Problem:
A prompt indicating a storage failure pops up in Word.
Cause:
The template is locked because it is opened simultaneously in both the designer and Word during the Word report remote design and modification.
Solution:
Close the template opened in the designer and resave the template in Word.
Partial Texts Blocked in the Word Report-Referenced Table
Problem:
Although the column height is set to be automatically adjusted for cells in CPT files, the column height cannot be automatically adjusted in Word, causing some texts to be blocked.
Solution:
Increase the column height for tables that have cells with some texts blocked in the corresponding CPT files.
Poor Performance of Word Report Used VALUE Formulas
Problem:
Many VALUE formulas are used in the Word report, resulting in a long loading time during Word report preview, as shown in the following figure.
Solution:
Change the formula format to lowercase one.
Template Directory Load Failure in Word
Problem:
1. The template can be previewed and enabled in the designer, but cannot be found in the directory of Word.
2. The system crashes when the template created after installed is loaded in the Word directory.
Cause:
1. Word cannot load the template directory if SSO exists.
2. The folder named reportlets exists in the template directory reportlets, causing the system crash during template reading.
Blank Data After Dynamic Charts Are Mounted to the Decision-making System
Problem: Charts in the Word report template developed independently in the local designer can be displayed normally. But data in the charts is blank during preview after you manually copy the template to the server and mount the template to the decision-making system.
Cause: The location of template data referenced by dynamic charts in the designer is inconsistent with the template location on the server.
Solution: Match the template location on the server with that in the designer and reference the template.
Failure to Open Multiple Reports Simultaneously
Currently, you cannot open multiple Word reports simultaneously through the Word Report plugin. If you open multiple Word reports, the already opened CPT file needs to be uploaded again. In this case, the CPT file is overwritten, causing the loss of the template sheets and datasets.
