I. Overview
By enabling Hierarchical Authorization in Global Setting, you will be able to set up Personnel Management permission, which allows receptors to re-assign permissions to relevant departments and roles.

II. Personnel Management
1. Definition
1) Permission item refers to the permission itself that gets assigned. Items in FineReport Decision-making Platform are Personnel Management, Directory Permissions, Manage, Data Connection and Task Schedule.
2) Permission receptor refers to the actual assignee who gets the permission item. Receptors in FineReport Decision-making Platform are departments, roles and users.
2. Enable Hierarchical Authorization in Global Setting
Go to Manage -> Permission -> Global Setting. Enable Hierarchical Authorization and click Save.
Note: Global Setting button will not be available on the Permission page of a lower-level administrator.
3. User Interface
Personnel Management permissions can be assigned to Dept./Role/User on the right side, and receptors with Authorize permission are able to assign relevant Manage and Directory Permissions to other users.

Only the View permission of a directory can be assigned to receptors when Hierarchical Authorization is disabled.
III. Example
We'll take Chen Bin (id: Jack, pwd: 123456) as an example to show how to assign Personnel Management permissions with Hierarchical Authorization enabled in Global Setting.
1. Directory Permissions
Assign the Authorize permission of Data Entry to Chen Bin (Jack) in Directory Permissions, as shown below:
2. Personnel Management
Go to Personnel Management and assign Authorize permission of Human resources to Chen Bin.
3. Manage
Go to the tab of Manage, and assign View permissions of User and Permission to Chen Bin.
4. View Results
Login the platform as Chen Bin (Jack, 123456). Now he can assign View and Authorize permissions of directory "Data Entry" to users from Human resources.
