App Update Notification

Apps packaged by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) are not supported.

Expected Effect

The notification can help users update the app. When you (as the admin) want users to update all apps of versions earlier than a certain version, you can configure the setting based on this document.

The update notifications appear when users open their apps. The users can click Update immediately to download the latest version. The following figure shows the effect.

Implementation Method

You can log in to the FineBI system as the admin, choose System Management > Mobile Platform > App Configuration, and configure the setting in App Update.

Environment Preparation

Download the DataAnalyst app first, and connect the app to the FineBI server.

Update Configuration

1. Enter the update configuration page.

2. To set the update prompt, enable App Update, and set a version in Lowest Version Requirement. If the version of the DataAnalyst app does not meet the requirement, an update notification will appear.

You can also set Update Title and Update Log. Click Save after completion, as shown in the following figure.

Effect Display

After you complete the setting, the update notifications will appear when users open the apps. Click Update immediately to automatically download the app of the latest version.
