Fine-grained: the level of data refinement.
For example, the leader wants to know the sales volume for each month in 2019. If you give the leader the total sales data for 2019, the data is too rough for the leader. If you give the leader the detailed sales data for each order in 2019, the data is too detailed. "Too rough" and "too detailed" refer to the fine-grained level of the data.
Fine-grained level and aggregation are two opposite concepts. The lower the fine-grained level, the higher the aggregation.
The following pie chart is based on the State and Count fields. Drag the City field into the Fine-grained bar and the count of Houston and Austin will be displayed in Texas, as shown in the following figure.
