Displaying Areas Dynamically on a Map by Parameter

Expected Effect

Currently, only the map of China can be displayed in the regional map. In this case, you may want to dynamically display the map of a certain province, as shown in the following figure.

Implementation Method

You can use a Text Drop-Down filter component to realize the effect.

Data Preparation

1. Log in to the system as the admin, click My Analysis, select a folder, and click New Subject, as shown in the following figure.

2. Choose Local Excel > Upload Data, and upload the table data, as shown in the following figure.

3. Click OK after the data is uploaded, as shown in the following figure.

Component Creation

1. Click Component in the lower left corner, as shown in the following figure.

2. Convert the dimension field City in the to-be-analyzed area to a geographic role, as shown in the following figure.

Note:

3. Select Area Map in Chart Type and drag City (Longitude) to the horizontal axis and City (Latitude) to the vertical axis, as shown in the following figure.

4. Choose Component Style > Background > Component Background, and deselect GIS, as shown in the following figure.

Note:

This procedure can be skipped as it is only for visualizing provincial subdivisions.

Text Drop-Down Filter Component Adding

1. Create a dashboard and add the component to the dashboard, as shown in the following figure.

2. Choose Filter Component > Text Filter Component > Text Drop-Down, and drag the Province field into the Field bar, as shown in the following figure.
