If you want some role to have permissions of personnel, directory, and system management, you can assign permissions for the one based on role.
The role can be imported from a database and added manually. Roles imported from a database can be downloaded into the role list automatically, so this article will focus on roles added manually.
Roles refers to a collection of people with the same identity (not the departmental structure) in different departments. For example, Peter belongs to the Internal Services department while Marks the Marketing department, but they are both shareholders who do not belong to any position within the departmental structure.
Assigning permissions based on role means to assign permissions of template, platform management, and data connection based on role.
Admins log into FineBI, go to Manage > User > Role, and click to add Tom into the role Shareholder.
Admins log into FineBI and click Manage > Permission > General permission configuration > Permission Quick Configuration.
Select Shareholder in Role, go to Directory > Platform Directory > Business Application > Finance, and assign permissions of Profit Analysis for Shareholder.
The dashboard in Profit Analysis includes public data. Therefore, you need to assign permissions of components in Sales.
Select Shareholder in Role, go to Directory > Platform Directory > Business Application > Sales, and assign permissions of components for Shareholder.
The shareholder Tom can log into FineBI and view the directory Profit Analysis.
Because an employee may have multiple departments, positions, or roles and there are hierarchic structures among departments, you need to follow relevant permission logic when assigning permissions.
