The business package permission has been renamed to the data permission, which supports setting the permission separately for the data table.

    2. Application scenarios

Secondary administrators need to be able to add/edit/delete self-service datasets under the specified business package.

    3. Function introduction

The super-manager grants the management authority to the sub-manager's business package, and the sub-manager can create a new table under the business package.

The super-manager grants the management authority to the sub-manager table, and the sub-manager can edit/delete the table with the privilege.

Note: This article does not introduce the management permissions of basic tables. For details, please refer to: Basic Table Management Permissions .

    Ⅱ. Create a new self-service dataset

Example in this chapter: There is a basic table "User Information Table" in the business package.

Assign permissions to the sub-manager eoco, so that eoco can create a self-service data set based on the "user information table" in the business package.

The super-manager not only needs to assign the management authority of the business package to the sub-manager, but also needs to assign the use authority of the basic table to the sub-manager, otherwise the data cannot be called.

    1. Set user classification

Since only "design users" can create new self-service datasets, it is necessary to set user classification for eoco first.

Log in to the data decision-making system with Super Manager, click "Manage > User", select the platform user, and add the secondary manager to "BI Data Processing User"/" BI Data Analysis User", as shown in the following figure:

    2. Assigning permissions to the base table

The administrator logs in to the data decision system, clicks "Manage > Permission > General permission configuration > Quick configuration of authority", and selects the rights carrier "User group dimension". In this example, the user eoco is selected.

Select the "Data Authorization" tab to configure the use permissions of the basic table "User Information Table" for eoco, so that eoco can call this table to create a self-service data set. As shown below:

    3. Assign business package management authority

The administrator logs in to the data decision system, clicks "Manage > Permission > General permission configuration > Quick configuration of authority", and selects the rights carrier "User group dimension". In this example, the user eoco is selected.

Select the "Data Authorization" tab to configure the "Business Package" management permission for eoco, so that eoco can create a new self-service data set under this business package. As shown below:

    4. Effect preview

The secondary manager, eoco, logs in to the data decision-making system and clicks "Data Preparation" to create a self-service data set under the business package.

Self-service datasets can call fields in the User Information Table. As shown below:

    Ⅲ. Edit the self-service dataset

    Examples from this chapter:

According to the operation in Chapter 2, user eoco created a self-service data set "User Analysis Table" based on the basic table "User Information Table".

This chapter assigns permissions to Tom, who can modify and edit the self-service dataset.

    1. Set user classification

Since only "design users" can edit the self-service dataset, Tom needs to be set up with user classification first.

Log in to the data decision-making system with Super Manager, click "Manage > User", select the platform user, and add the secondary manager to "BI Data Processing User"/"BI Data Analysis User", as shown in the following figure:

     tom处理.png

    2. Collaborative Self-Service Datasets

By default, the self-service dataset can only be edited by the owner of the table. Tom can edit the table only after the owner of the self-service dataset eoco collaborates with Tom on the table.

eoco logs in to the data decision system, selects "User Analysis Table", clicks "Collaboration", collaborates with "User > Tom", and clicks "OK", as shown in the following figure:

Note: If there is no "Collaborate" button in the self-service dataset, please refer to the document to assign the "Collaboration/Sharing" permission of "Self-Service Dataset": Sharing/Collaborating Self-Service Dataset .

    3. Assign data rights

The administrator logs in to the data decision system, clicks "Manage > Permission > General permission configuration > Quick configuration of authority", and selects the rights carrier "User group dimension". In this example, the user Tom is selected.

Select the "Data Permissions" tab to configure data permissions for Tom. As shown below:

    1) Tom needs to be assigned the management authority of the business package where the self-service dataset is located.

    2) Tom needs to be assigned the permission to use the self-service dataset.

    3) Tom needs to be assigned the permission to use the underlying table called by the self-service dataset.

    4. Effect preview

Tom logs in to the data decision system, clicks "Data Preparation", opens the business package, and can edit, rename, and save as the self-service dataset "User Analysis Table".

Note: If the use permission of the base table of the self-service dataset is not assigned, when editing the self-service dataset, the prompt "The permission of the field is lost, only empty data can be displayed" will pop up. As shown below:
