Rule Name | This field must be filled in and cannot have a duplicate name with any existing rules. |
Data Masking Algorithm | There are two algorithms: Substitute Char and Substitute All. 1. Substitute Char Preserve the first x and last x characters of the field, and replace the rest with a specified charactewwr. Example: Save Before 3 part and after 3 part, other replace to * character. If the original field value is 18899998888, the field will be displayed as 188*****888 when the rule is applied. 2. Substitute All Replace the entire field value with a specified character. Example: Replace the field value with *. If the original field value is 18899998888, the field will be displayed as *********** when the rule is applied. |
Applied Scope | There are two options in Applied Scope: View and Export. View: Optional. When a user views the dashboard, any data fields that have been subject to desensitization rules will be displayed according to the applied rules. Export: Required. When a user exports the dashboard to an Excel file, any data fields that have been subject to desensitization rules will be displayed according to the applied rules in the Excel file. Note: When a user exports a dashboard to an image file, any data fields subject to desensitization rules will follow the same rules as View rather than Export. |
