(Built-in) Download not required
Before connecting FineBI to the database, you need to collect the following information:
IP address and port number of the database server
Username and password of the database
Catalog and database name
1. Choose System Management > Data Connection > Data Connection Management > New Data Connection, as shown in the following figure.
2. Find the StarRocks icon,as shown in the following figure.
3. Enter the connection information collected in section "Connection Information Collection."
The StarRock catalog (data directory) enables access to data from internal and external sources (For details, see:Introduction to catalog). Each StarRocks cluster has and only one internal catalog named default_catalog.
The default value of catalog for new data connections is default_catalog, that is, the system accesses the internal catalog internal data directory by default.
For data connections created in versions earlier than 6.0.16, the catalog will be displayed as empty, which does not affect normal use.
Fill in an external data directory hive_test in the catalog, and you can connect to hive_test and use the added database table to directly extract data from it.
4. Click Test Connection. After successful connection, click Save, as shown in the following figure.
Adding Database Tables
Adding SQL Datasets
When using an SQL dataset to extract data, you need to bring the catalog information (if the catalog information is vacant, the inter catalog will be accessed by default), as shown in the following figure: select * from Catalog. Database name. Table name
Catalog: hive_test
Database name: tpch_10g
Table name: customer
