    Function Description

This document introduces how to mount a created data portal to the directory in FineBI for other system users to view.

    Example

You have created a data portal dashboard called System Dashboard as the admin.

The Data Dashboard components are selected from components in Sales Director Real-time Dashboard under Business Application > Sales.

The Profit Analysis dashboard under Business Application > Finance is set as a Quick Entry component in this dashboard.

In this example, you need to share this data portal dashboard with user Alice.

Mounting the Data Portal to the Directory

Log in to FineBI as the admin, choose System Management > Data Portal, and copy the link of the corresponding portal dashboard, as shown in the following figure.

    1.png

Choose System Management > Directory Management, select a directory as needed, click Add Link, and enter the copied link in Link Path.

    iconNote:
When entering the link path, you can remove http://IP address:Port number from the URL to avoid repeated login caused by different internal and external network addresses.

Assigning the Permission to View the Directory

To allow a user to view the complete data portal dashboard, ensure that the user has the permissions to view the following directories.

    1. Directory to which the data portal dashboard is mounted

    2. Directory/Directories used by the Data Dashboard components

    3. Directory/Directories set in the Quick Entry component

Log in to FineBI as the admin, choose System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration > User's Final Permission, select Alice, and assign user Alice the permission to view the above-mentioned three directories, as shown in the following figure.

    3.png

    iconNote:

    1. If users who have not been assigned the permission to view directories used in Data Dashboard components, when they view the data portal, a message "Preview Failure. You currently have no permission to view the component data." is displayed.

    2. If users who have not been assigned the permission to view directories used in Quick Entry, when they click the dashboards in Quick Entry, a message "You have no permission to access this page." is displayed.

    Assigning the Component Data Permission

To allow Alice to view the data in the components used in Data Dashboard and Quick Entry, you (the admin) need to assign user Alice the Component Data permission on the relevant dashboards, as shown in the following figure.

Example Two: Switching Between Multiple Portals on the Homepage

    iconNote:
The function is only supported on the PC.

You have created three data portal dashboards named Homepage, Operation & Maintenance, and Guide, respectively.

In this example, you need to mount the three data portal dashboards to the homepage and share them with system users for viewing.

Mounting the Data Portal to the Directory

Log in to FineBI as the admin, choose System Management > Data Portal, and copy the links of the corresponding portal dashboards, as shown in the following figure.

    6.png

Choose System Management > Directory Management > Homepage Management, click Add Homepage, enter the copied link as the link path, and add the multihomepages parameter at the end of each link to add a homepage. Repeat the operation two more times to add all homepages, as shown in the following figure.

    For example: http://localhost:37799/webroot/decision/data/portal/f7f6c250-45e9-4f4c-a4cc-4669ba412bea/view?multihomepages

    iconNote:

    1. When entering the link, you can remove http://IP address:Port number from the URL to avoid repeated login caused by different internal and external network addresses.

    2. You can connect multiple parameters (if any) in the URL using ampersands (&), and append one parameter (if any) to the URL using a question mark (?).
