Median/Distinct Count Calculation Exceeding the Memory Threshold

Description

When a designer adds a dataset and performs the median/distinct count calculation, a prompt displaying "The median/distinct count calculation exceeds the memory threshold. Please reduce the amount of data or contact the administrator for help." is displayed on the data preview page below the data editing page, as shown in the following figure.

Cause

The error occurs due to the excessive data volume.

To avoid the error, the admin can allow the analytical user to reduce the data volume by methods such as filtering data, summarizing data by group, or deducing fields.

This issue can be resolved by reducing the data volume.

If the user does not need so much data in the dataset for the subsequent data analysis, the user can process the data in advance. Before the step where an error is reported, the user can reduce the data volume by methods such as filtering out or deleting unnecessary fields.
