1. After the designer creates a table component, the error message "The current data volume is too large and the system protection mechanism has been triggered. Please reduce the amount of data by increasing filtering, etc. and try again. Limited by the [data access amount] parameter, the current maximum data amount: 1000000 row." is displayed in the component.
2. If you modify the number of rows that can be displayed on the Public Data page, the actual number of rows displayed is more than the number after modification.
1. You need to confirm the size of the data volume. To avoid the error, you can reduce the data volume by methods such as filtering data, summarizing data by group, or deducing fields.
2. If the data cannot be reduced, contact our technical support. Under the guidance of technical support, modify the data access volume parameter. Arbitrary modification may increase the downtime risk.
3. If the number of rows exceeds the maximum number of rows that can be displayed in a cross table, but the actual data volume is confirmed to be within the data access limit, you can consider using custom aggregation instead of automatic summarization.
If not all data needs to be displayed in a component, you can process the data on the editing page by filtering, grouping, aggregating, or removing unnecessary fields to reduce data volume. For details about specific procedures, see Filter, Group Summary, and Field Selection.
In addition, you can also reduce the data volume by filtering data in a component or dashboard. For details, see Filter Component.
After the designer tries to reduce data by the above-mentioned procedures, the designer can preview the component again to check whether the error message about the data volume limit is displayed.
1. After the designer reports an error, the administrator verifies the data volume used by the designer. The administrator chooses System Management > System Setting > BI Parameter > Restriction Parameter, and checks the data access volume, as shown in the following figure.
2. Data Access Volume limits the number of data rows that can be read into the server memory, effectively protecting the healthy use of system memory.
If the configured value is too small, the accuracy of data calculation will be affected. If the configured value is too big, the system may be at the risk of downtime. The configuration takes effect after FineBI is restarted.
Default value (recommended): 1000000 Configurable range: 0~10,000,000 Recommended configuration range: 10,000~1,000,000
After confirming the data volume required by the designer, the administrator can modify the value of Data Access Volume accordingly based on the allocated system memory.
For example, the administrator can modify the default value (1,000,000) to 3,000,000, as shown in the following figure.
3. After the value is modified and saved, the settings take effect after FineBI is restarted. The designer can try to preview the component again.
The error message "The data volume of the current table exceeds the maximum number of displayable rows. Please contact the administrator if you want to display." is displayed in a cross table. In this case, if the data volume does not exceed the data access volume set under System Management > System Setting > BI Parameter > Restriction Parameter, you can modify Auto to Sum, as shown in the following figure.
When Summary Method is set to Auto, the system performs summarization with the detail data. This means both rows and columns are calculated based on the full dataset volume from the source table. The calculation still occurs in the backend even if Total Summary Row is deselected, which may result in the row-column product exceeding 100,000,000.
When Summary Method is set to Sum, the system extracts the in-group summaries of the current groups to the table and summarizes the summaries instead of extracting all detail data to the table and summarizing the data.
