    Application Scenario

    • The multi-series line chart is a line chart that compares different indicators of the same dimension, while the dimension comparison line chart is a line chart that compares the same indicator of different dimensions.

    • For example, use a dimension comparison line chart to compare the changes in monthly Payback Amount in      different years, as shown in the following figure.

    Chart Feature

    1. Advantage

    • Trend comparison: The dimension comparison line chart is very suitable for clearly showing the trends of different dimensions.

    • Multi-dimensional analysis: The dimension comparison line chart can simultaneously display data from multiple dimensions, facilitating cross-dimensional comparison and analysis.

    2. Disadvantage

    • Information overload: If too many lines (namely, too many dimensions or series) are displayed in a chart, the chart will become confusing and difficult to read.

    • Detail loss: When focusing on the overall trend, you may overlook or fail to observe the specific values or anomalies of individual data points.
