Map Match FAQs for Data in Traditional Chinese or English

Problem

Data in the data tables (in Traditional Chinese or English) cannot match the built-in maps in FineBI when you create the map components.

Solution

You can solve the above-mentioned problem by preprocessing JSON map files or through manual matches.

JSON map files are stored in the %FineBI5.1%\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF\assets\map\geographic path. Select the needed JSON map file and open it through the text editor.

• If the data table is in Traditional Chinese, you can first copy and paste all the file content to the language conversion tool to convert the Simplified Chinese in the file content to Traditional Chinese, and then copy and paste the converted content to the JSON file.

• If the data table is in English, you need to replace all region names with their corresponding English translation. Log in to the decision-making platform as the admin, choose System Management > Map Configuration > Geographic Information, and modify the region names, as shown in the following figure.

You can manually match region names when creating a geographic role.
