Example in this document: The users eoco and hanwen log in to the same FineBI system with different homepages displayed.
When user eoco (eoco, 1) logs in to the FineBI system, the homepage displays the Profit Analysis dashboard, as shown in the following figure.
When user hanwen (hanwen, 1) logs in to the FineBI system, the homepage displays the Sales Director Real-time Dashboard dashboard, as shown in the following figure.
For details about how to add homepages, see Homepage Management.
Log in to the FineBI system as the admin, choose System Management > Directory Management > Homepage Management, click Add Homepage, and set a homepage that can be seen by eoco, as shown in the following figure.
Log in to the FineBI system as the admin, choose System Management > Directory Management > Homepage Management, click Add Homepage, and set a homepage that can be seen by hanwen, as shown in the following figure.
On the Platform User page, if No Limit on User Quantity is configured for PC User and its subcategories, skip this section.
On the Platform User page, if the user quantity is limited for PC User and its subcategories, you must follow the procedures in this section. Otherwise, the dashboard cannot be viewed.
Log in to the FineBI system as the admin, choose System Management > User Management > Platform User, and add eoco and hanwen to BI User (BI Viewer or Designer), as shown in the following figure.
Log in to the FineBI system as the admin, choose System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration > User's Final Permission, select eoco, select the Directory Permission tab, and assign eoco the viewing permission on Homepage that can be seen by eoco in Platform Homepage, as shown in the following figure.
Log in to the FineBI system as the admin, choose System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration > User's Final Permission, select hanwen, select the Directory Permission tab, and assign hanwen the viewing permission on Homepage that can be seen by hanwen in Platform Homepage, as shown in the following figure.
The dashboard is composed of various components where some data needs to be called.
If the component data called by the dashboard comes from Department Data in Public Data, the admin needs to assign the user the permission to view the component data.
Two methods are available for assigning the user permission on component data. You can select either of them.
Component data permission of datasets on the Data Permission page: If dataset C in Public Data is used in component B on dashboard A, to view dashboard A, you can assign the user permission on the component data of dataset C.
Component data permission of datasets on the Directory Permission page: If dataset C in Public Data is used in component B on dashboard A, to view dashboard A, you can assign the user permission on component data of component B.
1. Method one: assigning the user permission on the component data of the dataset in Data Permission
The data in Finance under Department Data > Public Data is used on the dashboard in the Homepage that can be seen by eoco directory. Therefore, you need to assign user eoco the component data permission of the folder.
Log in to the FineBI system as the admin and choose System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration > User's Final Permission.
Select eoco (eoco) and assign eoco the viewing permission on the data in the Finance folder under Public Data > Department Data, as shown in the following figure.
The data in Sales under Public Data > Department Data is used on the dashboard in the Homepage that can be seen by hanwen directory. Therefore, you need to assign user hanwen the component data permission of the folder.
Select hanwen (hanwen) and assign hanwen the viewing permission on the data in the Sales folder under Public Data > Department Data, as shown in the following figure.
2. Method two: assigning the user permission on the component data of the dashboard in Directory Permission
Log in to the FineBI system as the admin and choose System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration > Permission Quick Configuration. Select eoco (eoco).
Since Homepage that can be seen by eoco displays Profit Analysis, unlock the View icon of Profit Analysis in Directory Permission first. After unlocking, the icon appears in Component Data Permission next to the View, Export, and Edit icons. Click the icon, and tick the corresponding boxes to allow eoco to viewing the corresponding component data, as shown in the following figure.
Log in to the FineBI system as the admin and choose System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration > Permission Quick Configuration. Select hanwen (hanwen).
Since Homepage that can be seen by hanwen displays Sales Director Real-time Dashboard, unlock the View icon of Sales Director Real-time Dashboard in Directory Permission first. After unlocking, the icon appears in Component Data Permission next to the View, Export, and Edit icons. Click the icon, and tick the corresponding boxes to allow hanwen to view the corresponding component data, as shown in the following figure.
