    Introduction to Component Data Permission

    Usage Range

If you use the table in Public Data to create a dashboard, you must configure the component data permission to other users for viewing the data in this dashboard.

    Effective Range

For the tables in Public Data, management permission depends on usage permission, and usage permission depends on component data permission.

If you have usage permission for table A, you must also have the component data permission for table A.

If you have management permission for table A, you must have both component data permission and usage permission for table A.

    Example

You create a dashboard based on the user portrait analysis table in Public Data. And you configure access to Jasmine so that she can view the dashboard in the directory after logging in to FineBI.

    Setting User Type

If the number of users for PC User and its sub-categories under Platform User are unrestricted, there is no need to perform the operation in this section.

If the number of users for PC User and its sub-categories are limited, the operation in this section must be performed, otherwise the dashboard cannot be viewed.

The admin logs in to FineBI. Click Manage > User > Platform User, and add Jasmine to BI View User.
