Point map

1.1 Application scenarios

The point map is used to generate data as geometric figure points within the geographic coordinate system, and is mainly used to display the spatial distribution in the geographic area.

1.2 Basic requirements

The basic requirements of the point map:

1.3 Chart features

It is suitable for displaying the distribution of one or more sets of data in geographic space.

2.1 Create components

1) Click the Dashboard Tab, select New Dashboard, and click OK, as shown in the figure below:

2) Click on the new component, select the data "Number of regional migrants", click OK, as shown in the figure below:

3) Convert the field city under the dimension of the area to be analyzed into a geographic role. For detailed operations, please refer to Converting a Dimension to a Geographic Role, as shown in the figure below:

Note: If there is an index field with latitude and longitude, please refer to the document for specific operations: Index conversion into geographic role

4) Drag the city (longitude) and city (latitude) into the horizontal axis and vertical axis column. If the analysis area is the dimension column and the indicator column, drag the two dimensional geographic fields into the dimension column (if the geographic field is an indicator, drag both into the indicator column), as shown in the following figure:

5) Drag the "Number of migrant" indicator to "Color" and "Size", then the value of the contract amount will be mapped to the size and color of the point, as shown in the following figure:

The larger the contract amount, the larger the area of the dot and the darker the color.

2.2.1 Set color

Click on the color box and select modern in the pop-up gradient scheme, as shown in the figure below:

2.2 Graphical property settings

Set the size. Click the size bar and drag the slider to adjust the radius of the data point, as shown in the figure below:

2.3 Component style settings

2.3.1 Legend

Select the component style, click to uncheck the legend, as shown in the figure below:

2.3.2 Background

In the component style, set the GIS background displayed on the regional map to "dark blue", as shown in the following figure:

3.1 PC

Select the corresponding dashboard, click Preview, the chart is as shown in the figure below:
