  • Ⅰ. Overview

    1. Version

    BI Engineering Server

    JAR package

    Functional changes

    5.1

    -

    -

    5.1.9

    2021-01-06

For content that does not support export permissions, the permission lock is grayed out, and a reminder: Non-BI templates do not currently support export permission control.

    2. Application scenarios

In the production environment, users have strict data control, and most users are not allowed to export data.

The administrator needs to be able to assign export permissions based on the permission carrier to control data security. Therefore, FineBI provides template export permission control to achieve this function.

    3. Function introduction

The administrator logs in to the FineBI data decision system and selects "Manage > Permission > General permission configuration > Quick configuration of authority > Directory " to configure export rights for directories/dashboards. As shown below:

    • Contents that support authorized export are: directory node, BI dashboard

    • Contents that do not support authorized export include: FR templates, reporting labels, and hyperlinks. To export FR templates, configure browser-side export for the template .

Note 1: For BI projects of 5.1.9 and later, for content that does not support export permissions, the permission lock is grayed out, prompting: non-BI templates do not currently support export permission control.

The permission lock is grayed out and does not affect the administrator's assignment of editing/authorization permissions.

Note 2: The user who has the permission to export the directory must have the permission to view the directory.

    Ⅱ. Example

Example of this chapter: "Finance Department" needs to export the dashboards under the directory "Industry Directory" in PDF or Excel format.

    1. Set user classification

If the category of "design users" in "platform users" is "unlimited", you do not need to perform the operations in this section.

If the number of "Data Processing Users"/"Data Analysis Users" in "Platform Users" is limited, you must perform the operations in this section, otherwise the dashboard cannot be created.

Log in to the data decision-making system in Superman, click "Manage> User", select the platform user, and add the finance department user eoco to "BI View User", as shown in the following figure:

     eoco view.png

Note: If you do not set user categories, when you view the dashboard, you will be prompted "Sorry, you cannot view this page. You do not have access rights to this page. If you need access, please contact the administrator." As shown below:

    2. Assign directory export permissions

The administrator logs in to the data decision system and clicks "Manage > Permission > General permission configuration > Quick configuration of authority".

Select the permission carrier "Department/Role". In this example, select the department "Finance Dept." and assign it the "Export" permission of the "Manage Cockpit" directory , as shown in the following figure:

Note: A user who has the permission to export the directory must have the permission to view the directory.

    3. Assign data usage rights

Since the catalog dashboard assigned in Section 2.2 needs to use some data, the administrator also needs to assign data permissions.

After selecting the permission carrier, click "Data Authorization" to open the "Use" permission of the "Industry Data" group. As shown below:

     部门数据.png

Note: If you do not assign data permissions, an error will be displayed after viewing: "You do not have permission to view the data of this component temporarily. If you have any questions, please contact the administrator". As shown below:

    4. Assign template authentication export permissions

Note: The premise of this operation is that the system enables the role authorization authentication function in the template authentication. If it is not turned on, you do not need to perform this operation.

After enabling role permission authentication, the administrator needs to grant the corresponding user the export permission of the corresponding BI template, otherwise the user will not be able to export the template.

The administrator logs in to the data decision system and clicks "Manage > Template Authentication". Select the permission carrier to be configured according to your own needs. In this example, select "Dept. > Finance Dept".

Select the BI template and enable the "Export" permission. As shown below:

    5. Effect preview

eoco of the Finance Department logs in to the data decision-making system and looks at the dashboards in the "Manage Cockpit" directory. You can see that there is an export button in the upper operation bar to export the dashboards. As shown below:
