FineBI provides the "View User" role.

Unlike design users, viewing users can view dashboards, but cannot manipulate data or edit dashboards. This chapter provides an introduction to viewing users.

Note: A user can only be added to one of BI View User and BI Design User, and a user added to BI Design User will have viewing permission by default.  

Note: All settings under the default platform user are not limited to the number of people. If you do not enable restricted users, all users will have platform use, BI viewing, BI design and mobile platform permissions by default.

1. Add PC-side users

1) If you want to set a user as a viewing user, the premise is that the user must be a "PC user", and you need to set the PC user user first. To log in with user restrictions on the PC side, click Manage > User > Platform User > PC Use > Edit User , as shown in the following figure:

2) Enter the edit user page.

·       "Restricted users" is disabled by default, which means that all users are PC users.

·       If "Restrict Users" is turned on, users can be restricted on the PC side. As shown below:

Note: Restricted use of users is disabled by default. If there are relevant user restrictions in the registration information, it will be enabled by default, that is, users who do not belong to the corresponding user type cannot perform corresponding operations. If no registration information is uploaded or there are no restrictions in the registration information, it will be closed by default.

3) Click the user below to add it to the PC-side user, click Complete. At this time, Selected User can log in to the decision-making system, as shown in the following figure:

2. Add View User

1) Select BI User > Edit User , as shown below:

2) Enter the editing user interface, open "User Restriction", you can see that the area to be selected is only the users added to the PC-side users before, click to select, and click "Complete", as shown below shown:

·       "User Restriction" is disabled by default, which means that all users are viewing users.

·       If "User Restriction" is turned on, the viewing users can be restricted. If the restricted users are turned on, but the users are not added to viewing users, the entire dashboard will prompt "You do not have access rights to this page". For details, please refer to : View permission .

3) After the setting is completed, you can see the user under "BI View User", as shown in the following figure:

3. Effect View

"hanwen" has been added as a BI viewing user for it, log in to the "hanwen" account, and you can see that the user can view the catalog dashboards with permissions, but there are no dashboard nodes and data processing nodes, and cannot create and edit data and dashboards. As shown below:
