Geographical information is the place where the area boundary of the map and the point latitude and longitude information are configured, that is, the entry of the actual geographic information is set. You can add geographic information files or modify the built-in geographic information.
As shown in the figure below, the left side of the geographic information editing interface is the map hierarchy directory, and the right side is the corresponding map editing interface, which is divided into shape areas and points. Click to switch.
In the map hierarchy directory, click the + button in the upper right corner to create a new directory under the currently selected directory. The new directory is the next level of the selected directory, and the level of the directory corresponds to the drill-through relationship of the map.
As shown in the figure below, after selecting the world level, click the + button, the creation of geographic information map settings will appear, enter the file name.
Note: Before adding a new directory, you must select the world directory, and you can only add a new directory under the world directory.
Click OK to save the file name, and the US level will be added under the world level, as shown in the following figure:
When hovering the mouse over the directory, there will be an operation button to edit and delete the directory, as shown in the figure below:
Click on the corresponding file location on the left, and switch to the corresponding map editing area interface on the right. For example, if we click on the built-in Shanghai, China, the area on the right will switch to the area of Shanghai.
FineBI supports editing the built-in map area, and also supports setting the area range for the newly added directory hierarchy. The operations included in the area editing interface are as follows, including zooming in and out, drawing polygonal rectangle shapes, editing and deleting levels, etc.
Zooming in and out is the function of zooming in and out when viewing the map. For example, if we click the zoom-in button on the displayed map of Shanghai, the map will be zoomed in, as shown in the following figure:
In addition to clicking the zoom in/out button to zoom in or zoom out the map area, scrolling the mouse wheel in the map can also zoom in and out of the map.
When editing the shape area map, you can only add polygonal or rectangular shapes. When adding, select the shape that needs to be added, click and input each point in the map to connect to a specific shape. After drawing, you need to enter the area name and the longitude and latitude of the center point of the area (the location where the label is displayed). After inputting, click Save to add successfully.
For example, after clicking to draw a polygon, the mouse will show the following prompt to click and start, as shown in the figure below:
Click a point on the map to start drawing the area, and then draw the points continuously to form the area, as shown in the following figure:
Finally, click the first point to form an area, and the shape is completed. At this time, you will be prompted to enter the area name and the longitude and latitude of the area center point (the location where the label is displayed), as shown in the following figure:
For example, if we enter the following information and click Save, the area is created successfully. As shown below:
To delete an area from the map, click the area and click the delete button. As shown below:
Click Edit Level to edit the existing area in the current map.
As shown in the figure below, after clicking to edit the level, drag an existing point on the map to modify the area range. After the modification is completed, click the Save button (click Cancel to undo the change), and the level modification is successful.
Click Delete level to delete directly by clicking the level in the area. After the operation, you can also click the Save or Cancel button to save/cancel the previous operation.
After setting, click the button in the upper right corner to save the setting. If you don't want all the previous operations, click to return the currently edited map to the content stored when it was last saved.
Click the point box of the map editing interface to switch to the point interface, including the map point editing area and the data cell editing area, as shown in the built-in Shanghai map as shown below:
The operations that can be performed on the point interface are similar to those of the area, including zooming in and out of the map, editing and deleting levels, adding marker points, etc. Adding marker points can be operated in the map point editing area or the data cell area.
The level operation is similar to the area operation in the previous section, so I won’t repeat the introduction here.
After clicking the Draw Marker button, the marker symbol will appear at the mouse. Drag the marker to the position that needs to be placed on the map, click to place it and enter the area name, and click Save to add successfully.
The newly added cell information appears in the data cell on the right, and the longitude and latitude of the set point are automatically obtained, as shown in the following figure:
If you don't want this setting, just click the delete button in the dot area. As shown below:
If you want to operate from a data cell, when you click the cell, the entire row of the table where the cell is located is selected.
When the row of the table is in the selected state, click any cell in the row of the table again to edit the content of the cell.
Only when the area outside the table row is clicked, the table in that row is unselected.
In addition to editing, you can also add or delete rows. Click the button to add a row. Enter the point name, longitude, and latitude data. As shown in the figure below, the point 123 and the corresponding longitude and latitude are added.
Click the cell and select the button to delete the row of data. Use the ctrl key while clicking the table (the Apple system also uses the ctrl key) or directly select multiple rows of tables, you can select multiple rows of tables to delete multiple rows of data.
Click the Import Data button to import point data information, and only the file format corresponding to excel can be selected. The format required to import excel files is three columns of data, the first column is the name, the second column is the longitude, and the third column is the latitude. The point information imported by the user must be imported correctly according to the above rules.
Click to select the corresponding file in the future, click to open, and the import data preview interface appears, as shown in the figure below, click OK to import the data.
After the import is successful, the imported data will appear in the cell, and the mark corresponding to the imported point data will be displayed on the map on the left, as shown in the figure below:
After the map information is edited and saved successfully, when the geographic role is matched in the component editing, you can choose to match the geographic information just set, as shown in the following figure:
And what is matched in the area map is the corresponding painted area, and what is matched in the point map is the corresponding marked point.
If the city name is modified as shown in the figure below, the district/county information in the city will disappear.
You can download the compressed package world.rar at this time, and replace the world folder under %FineBI%\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF\assets\map\geographic after decompression, as shown in the following figure:
The outlined map area will be saved as a JSON file and placed in the %FineBI%\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF\assets\map\geographic directory.
It can be copied to the server and used directly, but the server must be restarted to take effect.
