Users need to preview the added basic tables after adding database tables, adding SQL data sets, and adding EXCEL data sets.

1.3 Function Introduction

After the data table is added and updated in the business package, there is a data preview area in the business package editing interface, and you can view the successfully edited table data.

2.1 Data Preview

Click Data Preparation, select one table, and click the data preview Tab, as shown in the following figure:

Table data can be viewed in two ways: detailed display and table structure display.

2.1.1 Detailed display

The detailed display will display all fields, field types and data information, as shown in the following figure:

2.1.2 Table structure display

The table structure display shows the field type, field name and original name. The field name is automatically obtained escaped name or the modified display name, as shown in the following figure:

2.2 Edit field name

Hover the mouse on the field name and click to rename, as shown in the figure below:

2.3 Edit display data volume

For detailed display, the basic table displays 5000 rows of data in the preview interface by default. Click Edit to manually adjust the display volume, click OK, as shown in the following figure:

Note: This number is only the amount of data displayed in the preview interface after saving. All data will be used in the dashboard.

2.4 Field grouping

If there are many fields in the data set, you can use "field grouping" to classify and manage the data set fields, so that business users can quickly find them during analysis.

3.1 Displayed data volume is incorrect

The data volume displayed in the preview interface is controlled by the data access volume under Manage >System   >General BI parameters. If you modify the value of data access limit, no matter how many rows are displayed, the data preview interface will only display the number of rows that does not exceed the set value of data access.

Note: The amount of data access needs to be carefully set according to the actual memory. If the JVM is allocated to 16G, it can be adjusted to 5 million, and the maximum can be adjusted to 10 million, but the performance will decrease.

For example, set the value of data access to 200, as shown in the following figure:

Note: The server needs to be restarted after setting.

In the data preview interface, although the number of displayed rows is set to 5000, only 200 rows of data can be displayed, as shown in the following figure:

3.2 Data Preview Error

3.2.1 Problem

After adding the database table, the data preview interface reports an error: disconnected pipeline (Error code: 62400001).

3.2.2 Analysis

Network error.

3.2.3 Solution

When configuring the data connection, you need to select "Verify before getting connection" and fill in the verification statement in "SQL Verification Query" to check whether the data connection is available. The verification SQL statement does not need to involve the table in the corresponding database, for example, you can fill in select 1, as shown in the following figure:
