Support to view the whereabouts of adding database tables
Users need to add database tables to the decision-making system and perform subsequent data analysis and dashboard display.
FineBI supports the addition of four types of data tables. This article introduces the operation steps of "adding a database table".
Data processing users
The permission to add database tables requires the administrator to configure the user, and the user type must be "data processing user".
When adding a table, the original name of the table field should not appear that there are both A and A-B fields (for example, there are both "sales" and "sales-waterfall chart" fields), otherwise it will be in the process of adding the table automatically treat such fields as self-circulating columns for processing.
If you need to ensure the correct identification of the data type, you can turn on the "Data Type Identification" switch in the "Manage<System<General<BI/Spider Parameter", but when the accuracy of the numeric type field exceeds the BI readable range (1~19 digits) ), it will be automatically converted to text type for reading.
Log in to the system, select "Data Preparation" and enter the package, as shown in the figure below:
1) Click "Add Table", select "Database Table", as shown in the figure below:
2) Enter the database table selection interface, you can select the created data connection, the right side will display the obtained table information in the data connection, and the added table cannot be grayed out. As shown below:
3) Select the table added to the package according to your needs, and select the table Sales_Volume. Click OK, FineBI will automatically read the database association, table name escape, column name escape, etc. in the selected table, as shown in the following figure:
Note: The table name and column name escape in the database will only be obtained when the table is added. After updating the table, add a comment in the database and update the table in the BI again, the escape will not be obtained .
When the data is extracted, you need to click "Update Data", and then preview in the data preview, as shown in the following figure:
4) Then enter the package, you can see the newly added database table in the business package. As shown below:
Note: After adding the basic table, you can edit it.
Note: The fields recognized as the date type by BI will automatically complete the "year, month, day, hour, minute, and second", displayed as yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss (example: 2020-10-15 00:00:00)
Click "Add Table" again, hover the mouse to the "Sales_Volume" table just added, you can see that the table has been grayed out and prompt that the table has been added to the package, as shown in the following figure:
The prompt rules are as follows:

The table has been added to the group/XX package (table name)
If the package does not belong to a package group, it is directly placed under the data list
The table has been added to the XX package (table name)
Enter keywords in the search box of the add table interface to display all related database tables, as shown in the following figure:
In the preview interface, click "..." to view the original name and source of the added database table, as shown in the following figure:
If you do not choose to enable real-time data for a database table that is successfully added, you need to update the data before you can use it, such as adding self-service datasets, creating components, and so on.
The table name and column name escape in the database will only be obtained when the table is added. After updating the table, add a comment in the database and update the table in the BI again, the escape will not be obtained .
Add a field to the database and update the corresponding table of FineBI, without displaying the added fields, as shown in the following figure:
Click "Edit" to enter the editing interface, tick the newly added fields, click "Save" and update the data. At this time, the new fields will appear in the "Data Preview" interface, as shown in the figure below:
Create a sqlite data connection and add a database table. There is data in the database but the data preparation interface does not display the data, as shown in the following figure:
Go to "Manage > Data Connection", edit the corresponding data connection, and add "?zeroDateTimeBehavior=convertToNull" after the data connection URL, as shown in the figure below:
