Supported setting value format for multi-selected fields in batches
You need to set the value format of indicators or data.
FineBI provides a value format setting function that can set indicator fields in group tables and cross tables, and data fields in detail tables to Auto, Number, or Percentage.
Auto
You can set Quantity Unit, Unit Suffix, and Permille Sign.
Number
You can set Decimal Place, Quantity Unit, Unit Suffix, and Permille Sign.
Percentage
You can set Decimal Place, Unit Suffix, Permille Sign, and Display Table Header Unit.
Group table, cross table, and detail table
1. Log in to FineBI, click My Analysis, select a folder, and click New Subject, as shown in the following figure.
2. Choose Local Excel > Upload Data, as shown in the following figure.
Sample data: Contract Information.xlsx
3. Click OK after the data is uploaded, as shown in the following figure.
4. Click Update and Save. The data is created successfully.
1. Click Component in the lower left corner, as shown in the following figure.
2. Select Group Table in Chart Type.
3. Drag Contract Type and Payment Type in the to-be-analyzed area to the Dimension bar. Drag Number and Contract Volume to the Indicator bar, as shown in the following figure.
1. For the value fields in the Indicator bar (Data bar in case of Detail Table) in the analysis area, for example, Contract Volume, click the drop-down button, and select Value Format, as shown in the following figure.
2. Enter the value format setting page. The value format includes three types: Auto (by default), Number, and Percentage, as shown in the following figure.
If you select the Auto type, you can set Quantity Unit, Unit Suffix, and Permille Sign.
Quantity Unit includes None (units digit), Thousand, and Million.
Unit Suffix supports custom input of required value units.
You can select or deselect Permille Sign.
By default, Quantity Unit is set to None (units digit), the Unit Suffix is empty, and Permille Sign is selected, as shown in the following figure.
For example, set Quantity Unit to Thousand, enter Unit Suffix as Dollars, and select Permille Sign. Example in the last row will display the configured format style. Click OK to finish the setting.
Compared to Auto, the Demical Place setting is added to the Number type, which allows you to set the digits to be displayed after the decimal point for the indicator value (data value in the detail table).
By default, the value of Decimal Place is 2, Quantity Unit is None, Unit Suffix is empty, and Permille Sign is selected, as shown in the following figure.
For example, set Demical Place to 4, Quantity Unit to Thousand, enter Unit Suffix as Dollars, and select Permille Sign. Example in the last row will display the configured format style. Click OK to finish the setting.
Compared to Number, the Percentage type does not contain the Quantity Unit setting, but has an additional setting named Display Table Header Unit.
By default, the value of Decimal Place is 2, Unit Suffix is empty, Permille Sign is selected, and Display Table Header Unit is deselected, as shown in the following figure.
For example, set Demical Place to 3, Unit Suffix to empty, and select Permille Sign and Display Table Header Unit. Example in the last row will display the configured format style. Click OK to finish the setting.
You can set the value format for the fields multi-selected by pressing Ctrl.
For example, set Quantity Unit in Value Format to Thousand for Sales and Profit, as shown in the following figure.
