Overview
Version
FineBI Version | Functional Change |
6.0 | - |
6.0.2 | Changed the logic of simplest tables. For details, see section "Notes." |
6.0.8 | Changed the logic of switching the limit on the data volume. For details, see section "Notes." |
6.1 | 1. Limited the source table of all resources in a subject only by the data volume of the current subject, not by the update status of the parent table (in which case data may be empty). 2. Changed the data volume setting entry from the data editing page to the top of the analysis subject page. Update compatibility: The initial data volume limit of a subject is 10 million by default. |
Application Scenario
Some users may engage in improper operations when using FineBI, which may affect other users' use or the system performance stability.
FineBI allows you to limit the data volume on the data editing page of analysis subjects to avoid such issues, ensuring the normal FineBI use.
Function Entry
You can set the number of data rows for calculation when editing data in an analysis subject, as shown in the following figure.
Function Description
Data Volume Limit Tier
You can set the data volume for calculation when editing an analysis subject. The following table shows the number of records for calculation that can be switched to in different data volumes.
Data Volume | Data Volume Configuration Item | |
---|---|---|
Extraction | < 10 million rows | First 100K/10 million rows or full volume |
≥ 10 million rows | First 100K/10 million rows or full volume | |
Direct Connection | Full volume of data records are used for calculation for all resources. | First 100K rows or full volume |
The following table shows the effects corresponding to different data volumes.
Configuration Item Name | First 100K Rows or Full Volume (High Performance) | Default Subject Configuration (More Data as Possible, More Accurate the Result) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Extraction | Dataset | The upper limit of the data volume for calculation is 100K rows. | A maximum of 10 million rows can be used for calculation. | ||||

Data Volume Limit of the Source Table
The source table of all resources in a subject is limited only by the data volume of the current subject, not by the update status of the parent table.
The row quantity of the source table in the dataset is limited.
For example, B and C are the source tables of A.
If the dataset is directly connected, the data volume of B and C for calculation is limited to full volume.
If the dataset is extracted, the data volume can be switched to only 100K/10 million rows.
Notes
In 6.0.8 and later versions, if the source table (parent table) of the edited data is currently not extracted, the switching option will be grayed out, allowing you to only use the first 10 million rows of data for calculation, as shown in the following figure.
The following content shows the scenarios where the source table is not extracted:
1. The source table is a non-simplest table that is currently not extracted.
2. The source table is the simplest table that is never extracted. The simplest table must be a published and self-service dataset uploaded not through Excel and meet the following two conditions:
No association is established.
Only the table selection step or the step of field settings (excluding field type conversion) is performed on the table.
