In some enterprises, different departments work with different languages. To meet the needs of each department, a multilingual system needs to be established.

Function Introduction

You can switch the language of the FineBI system. The switching range includes the following types:

Support one-click switch: System Management, Login Page, BI Tool, Public Data, My Analysis, and Recycle Bin

Support switch through keys and values: Names of parts (supporting customization) of the system, such as platform directory name, platform title, and mobile platform server name.

This document illustrates how to switch the language of the FineBI system.

Prerequisites

For details about installing the plugin, see Plugin Management.

Example:

Switch the language of the FineBI system to Simplified Chinese. The switch range includes all components of System Management, the Test directory and its subdirectories and subtemplates, platform title, and mobile platform server name.

Implementation idea:

Set keys and values. Add custom directory/template names, platform title, and mobile platform server name into Key, with their corresponding Chinese translation as values.

When switching the platform language, you can switch the language of System Management with one click, and switch the custom names of keys to their corresponding Chinese names.

Preparations

Adding a Directory and Template

Log in to the FineBI system as admin, choose System Management > Directory Management, and add directories and templates. For details, see Directory Management.

Modifying the Platform Title

Log in to the FineBI system as admin, choose System Management > GUI Configuration > Platform Style, and change the platform title to BI Platform.

Modifying the Mobile Platform Server Name

Log in to the FineBI system as admin, choose System Management > Mobile Platform > APP Configuration, and set the server name to Mobile Terminal.

Enabling Disable Browser Cache

Note:

 If Disable Browser Cache is not enabled, you cannot switch the language of System Management.

Log in to the FineBI system as admin, choose System Management > Security Management > Security, and enable Security Headers. Click Advanced Setting and enable Disable Browser Cache. 

Language Setting

Function Description

Log in to the FineBI system as admin, choose System Management > Language Configuration to open the internationalization setting page.

You can view, add, delete, edit, search, batch import, batch export, back up, and roll back keys and values on this page.

Note:

1. Remarks are not covered in the search range.

2. The Clear List button only appears when all keys are selected, and you can tick Key to select all with one click.

Setting Values of Keys

Log in to the FineBI system as admin, choose System Management > Language Configuration, click the Add button, and enter values of keys and their corresponding Chinese translation in the text boxes.

Note:

 The value of Key cannot be empty or duplicate, and must be translated into at least one language. The translation should be entered in the text box of the corresponding language.

The following table lists examples of keys and their corresponding Chinese translation.

Note:

 If no corresponding internationalization value is set for a key, the original value of the key is displayed after you switch the platform language; if a corresponding internationalization value is set for a key, the internationalization value is displayed after you switch the platform language.

Switching the Language

Click English in the upper right corner and select 简体中文 from the drop-down list to switch the system language to Simplified Chinese.

Switch to Simplified Chinese:

On PC

1. The language of System Management is switched to Simplified Chinese, and the platform title is displayed in Simplified Chinese.

2. Click 目录 and you can see names of newly added directories and templates are displayed in Simplified Chinese.

On Mobile Terminal

Log in to the FineBI system using the DataAnalysis APP. The effect is shown in the following figure.

1. The server name is displayed as 移动端.

2. Names of newly added directories and templates in above section are displayed in Simplified Chinese.
