AND/OR Application Among Multiple Filtering Conditions

Application Scenario

Sometimes you may need to add multiple filtering conditions for combined applications when filtering. This document introduces how to set the AND/OR relationships among multiple filtering conditions.

FineBI supports flexible AND/OR relationship settings among multiple components.

This example is aimed at achieving the scenario in the section "Application Scenario". You can know how to add the AND/OR relationships

Data Preparation

1. Download the sample data Contract Information, create an analysis subject, and upload the data, as shown in the following figure.

2. Click the component tab to go to the component editing page, click the  icon next to the field Contract Amount, and select Indicator Condition from the drop-down list.

Detail Filter

1. Add the first filtering condition for the field Contract Type and set the condition to In, Fixed Value, and Service Agreement in sequence, as shown in the following figure.

2. Add the second filtering condition, which is in the AND relationship with the first one.

3. Add the third OR condition for the field Contract Type and set the condition to In, Fixed Value, and Long-term Agreement in sequence. Since this is the third addition, the OR condition is at the top level.

4. Do not add the AND condition directly when adding the fourth condition. (If you add the AND condition directly, the added condition will be placed at the top level.) 

The correct way is to click the third filtering condition (to keep the third and the fourth filtering conditions at the same level) and add an AND condition.
