This document describes how to connect to the Dremio data source.

Version and Driver

Download the driver package and upload it to FineBI. For details, see section "Creating a Data Connection" in Driver Management.

Collecting Connection Information

Before connecting the database, you need to collect the following information.

1. IP address and port number of the database server

2. The username and password of the database

3. Database type

1. Log in to FineBI as the admin, choose System Management > Data Connection > Data Connection Management, and click New Data Connection, as shown in the following figure.

Note:

If you are not the admin and want to configure data connections, you need to get permission from the admin for data connection management.

2. Find the icon of the Dremio database.

3. Select the driver uploaded in section "Version and Driver", enter the connection information collected in section "Collecting Connection Information", and select the database mode, as shown in the following figure.

You can optionally modify other advanced settings. For details, see section "Advanced Settings" in Entry-Level Data Connection Configuration.

4. Click Test Connection. If the connection is successful, click Save to save the data connection.

You can add database tables to FineBI by adding database tables or adding SQL datasets.
