Overview
Application Scenario
To analyze and display data categorized by regions, you can use the rectangular block map, which can reflect data values from the colors and sizes of rectangular blocks, as shown in the following figure.
Function Description
The rectangular block map can clearly show the distribution of data in various regions, making it more intuitive and three-dimensional.
Procedure
Data Preparation
1. Log in to the system as the admin, click My Analysis, select a folder, and click New Subject, as shown in the following figure.
2. Click Local Excel and click Upload Data, as shown in the following figure.
You can download the sample data Region Analysis Data.xlsx.
3. Click OK after the data is uploaded, as shown in the following figure.
Component Creation
1. Click Component in the lower left corner, as shown in the following figure.
2. Click the ▼ icon next to the Province field, select Geographic Role from the drop-down list, and choose Province/City/Autonomous Region from the shortcut menu, as shown in the following figure.
3. The geographic role setting box automatically pops up. The system automatically performs the fuzzy match based on the Your Data column. Click OK, as shown in the following figure.
4. After completion, the dimension fields Province (Longitude) and Province (Latitude) are generated. Click the Custom Chart icon in Chart Type, and select Rectangular Block from the drop-down list in Graphic Property, as shown in the following figure.
5. Drag the dimension fields Province (Longitude) and Province (Latitude) into the Horizontal Axis and Vertical Axis (in the analysis area) respectively, as shown in the following figure.
Component Beautification
1. Drag the Contract Amount field into Color and Size respectively, as shown in the following figure.
2. Click Color and set Gradient Solution to Aurora. The darker the color, the more the amount, as shown in the following figure.
3. Click Size and set Width to 30. The larger the rectangular block, the more the amount, as shown in the following figure.
4. To make the chart more aesthetically pleasing, deselect Display All Legends under Component Style > Legend, as shown in the following figure.
