6.x Upgrade FAQ

This FAQ is applicable to users upgrading to version 6.x. It provides troubleshooting steps for upgrade failures to help users solve problems.

Problem Description

The upgrade tool fails to upgrade on Windows, and the console.log indicates that the failure is caused by the missing dll files required for FinePrivacy operation.

Solution

Execute the Python program that was not found on the device.

1. Download and uncompress the package: main.zip

2. Place it in any directory and double-click to run.

3. Enter c:\windows\system32 and press the Enter key.

4. After the program finishes running, an out.txt file will be generated in the directory. Open it to view all the missing dll files, and you need to copy these missing files to the c:\windows\system32 directory.

The order of priority for searching missing files is:

a. Other locations on the current device.

b. Other devices with similar versions.

c. The compressed package. dll.zip
