Application Scenarios
In addition to the normal login process, you may encounter some special scenarios when logging in to the data-decision system. The most common ones are network attacks (like maliciously sending short messages, brute-forcing login passwords, and increasing website loads).
You can increase login security through Slider, SMS, and Email in Login Authentication Setting.
Functions
Slider: complete a puzzle through dragging to perform human-machine verification, which can prevent frequent abnormal requests.
SMS: an efficient and convenient verification method
Email: a gradually declining verification method and a supplementary for SMS

Slider
Enabling Slider
Log in to the FineBI system as the admin and choose System Management > System Setting > Login > Login Authentication Setting to enable Slider.

Demonstration
After entering the wrong password twice, the slider verification occurs.
Drag the slider to the correct position, enter the correct username and password, and go to the data-decision system after the slider verification is successful.
SMS
Setting a SMS Sender
SMS cannot be sent without a sender. The sender in each data-decision system is unique and only needs to be set once.
Log in to the data-decision system as the admin, choose System Management > System Setting > SMS, enable Use SMS Platform, and log in through a FanRuan passport account that has opened SMS service.
Setting a SMS Recipient
SMS cannot be sent without a recipient.
Therefore, you have to bind your phone number under User Management > All Users of the data-decision system (otherwise SMS cannot be sent successfully) if using SMS.

Phone numbers from China, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), Turkey, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia can be bound.
There is no need to add the number 0 before the phone number or the area code when you make phone calls with people in regions like Taiwan (China) and countries like South Korea, Japan, and Malaysia.
Enabling SMS
Log in to the FineBI system as the admin, choose System Management > System Setting > Login > Login Authentication Setting to enable SMS.
Demonstration
Log in to the FineBI system as the user, enter the username and password, and click Login. The system will redirects to the identity verification page and automatically obtain the bound phone number and the username.
Click Get PIN and enter the received verification code.
After entering the verification code, click OK. If the verification code is correct, the system will redirect to the data-decision platform, otherwise, it will display the corresponding error.

1. If the account balance is insufficient, you cannot receive the verification code. You need to recharge in the FineRuan Market.
2. When users who have not bound their phone numbers log in to the data-decision system (if SMS is enabled), they will be prompted: The system has enabled login verification. To ensure account security, please contact the administrator to bind the phone number and then authenticate.
Email Sender
Email cannot be sent without a sender.
Log into FineBI as the admin, choose System Management > System Setting > Mailbox, click Add Sender, configure the sender account, and click OK.
In setting a scheduled task, The default sender of the system is selected in Sender (allow selecting other senders from the drop-down list if any).

1. The configuration steps may vary based on the type of the sender's email. For details, see Mailbox.
2. After configuration, click Send Test Mail to ensure that the mailbox is available.
Email Recipient
Email cannot be sent without a recipient.
Therefore, you have to bind your mailbox under User Management > All Users of the data-decision system (otherwise email cannot be sent successfully) if using Email.
Enabling Email
Log in to the FineBI system and choose System Management > System Setting > Login > Login Authentication Setting to enable Email.
Demonstration
The format of the received email when you click Get PIN is shown in the following figure (if Email is enabled).
Enabling Both Email and SMS
If the admin has enabled both SMS and Email, only a verification method will be displayed when the login user only binds the phone number (or the mailbox).
If the admin has enabled both Email and SMS, SMS is used by default (can switch to Email) when the login user binds both the phone number and the maibox.
