Application Scenario

You can use the custom value list function to limit the selectable range of the filter component. For example, you can use the function to achieve the effect that only three cities among multiple cities are selected.

Function Description

You can only customize the value list of Text Filter Component/Value Filter Component.

You can download the sample table Regional Data Analysis.xlsx.

1. Upload the sample table, create a component, click Custom Chart, choose Column Chart from the drop-down list in Graphic Property, and drag City to Horizontal Axis and Contract Amount to Vertical Axis, as shown in the following figure.

2. Click the Add Dashboard icon and drag the created component to the dashboard, as shown in the following figure.

3. Add a Text Drop-down Filter Component and drag City to Field. You can view that all cities can be selected in the filter component, as shown in the following figure.

4. Select Custom Value List, click the  icon, and paste/enter option values. You can click the Enter key for one value per line. Take Atlanta, Chicago, and Detroit as examples here, as shown in the following figure.

Click the drop-down box icon. You can view that only the three cities can be selected, as shown in the following figure.
