Before importing users and synchronizing users, you need to prepare the data tables. First, connect the data tables that need to be imported or synchronized to the FineDataLink system and perform simple data processing to facilitate subsequent user import and synchronization.
The imported user data comes from server datasets, which support data of the hierarchical and non-hierarchical user department structures.
You can choose one type of data based on your user structure.
This example uses a user information table where no hierarchical structures exist between departments and positions. The departments of the users to be imported are all listed under All Departments in parallel, as shown in the following figure.
Prepare a user information table. The following figure shows the table structure.
You can download the example table: Import_user1.xlsx
1. During user importing, Username, Name, and Password are required fields, and other information can be left blank.
2. Mobile can be bound to mobile numbers in Mainland China, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), Turkey, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia. You can choose whether to add the area code for mobile numbers in mainland China, while you need to add the area codes for mobile numbers in other regions.
You can use a third-party database management tool to import the above table into a database and establish a data connection between the FineDataLink system and the database. The following section uses the FDLDemo database as an example.
1. Log in to the FineDataLink system as the admin, choose System Management > Data Connection > Server Dataset, click Create Dataset, and select SQL Dataset from the drop-down list, as shown in the following figure.
Set Dataset Name to Import_User_1, set Data from Data Connection to FDLDemo, and enter the SQL statement:
select * from Import_User_1
3. You can also use TXT/XML files. For details, see File Dataset.
You should save the table locally or upload it to FineDataLink installation directory\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF\reportlets.
Log in to the FineDataLink system as the admin, choose System Management > Data Connection > Server Dataset, click Create Dataset, and select File Dataset from the drop-down list, as shown in the following figure.
Set the Dataset Name to User Importing - File, and select the table prepared in the "Non-Hierarchical Structure-File Dataset" section.
1. If you choose Server File, you need to select the file in FineDataLink installation directory\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF\reportlets.
If you choose Local File, the file will be automatically saved to FineDataLink installation directory\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF\reportlets\excel of the FineDataLink project after being uploaded.
2. You can use TXT and XML files and use remote files by inputting the URL. Setting dataset parameters is supported. For details about the setting method, see File Dataset.
The user information table in this example has a hierarchical structure between departments and positions. The following figure shows the departments of the users to be imported.
You can download the example table: Import_user2.xlsx
3. If the server dataset is a tree dataset during user dataset synchronization, the value of the parent organization of the top-level organization should be Null (not an empty value). For example, the fid (the parent organization ID) value for user Abby (whose department is Headquarters) should be empty, as shown in the following figure.
4. You can still generate tree datasets and synchronize users even though there are no users under departments. (For example, the headquarters that only has subordinate departments without positions and users.)
Set the Dataset Name to Import_User_2, set the Data from Data Connection to FDLDemo, and enter the SQL statement:
select * from Import_User_2
Log in to the FineDataLink system as the admin, choose System Management > Data Connection > Server Dataset, click Create Dataset, and select Tree Dataset from the drop-down list, as shown in the following figure.
Set the Dataset Name to User Importing - Hierarchical Structure, set the Source Dataset to Import_User_2, set the Original Tag Field to did, and set the Parent Tag Field to fid, as shown in the following figure.
After preparing the user data tables, you can synchronize or import the user data into the FineDataLink system. For details, see Importing Users and Synchronizing Users.
