This data connection allows you to read data from Excel and CSV files on the local FineDataLink server and process it in FineDataLink.
You (as the super admin) can also create data connections to different directories on the local server for different users and assign them permission accordingly so that users can only access directories on the local server on which they have been granted permission.
Before creating the data connection, you can create folders in the /webroot/WEB-INF/assets/local_folders path of the FineDataLink project to achieve file partitioning and upload files as needed.
1. Log in to FineDataLink as the super admin, choose System Management > Data Connection > Data Connection Management, and click Create.
2. Find Local Server Directory, as shown in the following figure.
3. Select the directory on the local server, click Test Connection, and save the data connection.
You can assign Use permission on different data connections to different users as needed. For example, assign Use permission on Local Directory - Employee to the finance department, and Use permission on Local Directory - Attendance to the human resource department, so that different users can use different directories on the local server, as shown in the following figure.
For details about permission assignment, see Overview of Data Connection Permission.
You can use File Input, Data Synchronization, and Parameter Assignment nodes in the scheduled task to fetch data from the local server, as shown in the following figure.
