Vertica Data Connection

Application Scenario

FineDataLink supports connection to Vertica for data reading and writing using Scheduled Task and data publishing through Data Service.

Prerequisite

Version and Driver

Download the driver package and upload it to FineDataLink. For details about driver uploading steps, see Driver Management.

Procedure

For details about data connection steps, see Data Source Creation and Management.

When configuring the data connection, select Custom from the Driver drop-down list and select the driver described in the "Version and Driver" section.

Data Development - Scheduled Task

1. You can use data from this data source for data development.

2. When creating a primary key in the Vertica database, use SQL statements such as:

alter table KARA.user_test114 add primary key(CODE1) enabled

FineDataLink can identify the primary key only when the SQL statement includes the enabled keyword.

Note: 

Primary keys and UPSERT operations are supported only in Vertica of V8 and later versions.

Data Service

After configuring the data source, you can use it in Data Service.
