Application Scenario

You (the super admin) can assign Authorization permission on Database Table Management to a user to make the user a sub-admin.

Sub-admins can assign Use permission on Database Table Management to subordinate members, allowing them to use the Database Table Management function.

Scenario Description

Assign Authorization permission on Database Table Management to user Dan, so that Dan can assign Use permission on Database Table Management to the Human Resources department.

Implementation Method

Enabling Hierarchical Permission Management and Data Connection Control

Log in to FineDataLink as the super admin, choose System Management > Permission Management, click the  icon to enter the Global Setting page, enable Hierarchical Permission Management and Data Connection Control, and click Save, as shown in the following figure.

Assigning Relevant Permission to Dan

Assigning Authorization Permission on Personnel Management

To assign permission to the Human Resources department, Dan should have the Authorization permission on the Human Resources department.

Choose Authorization Configuration > User's Final Permission, click Dan, click Personnel Management, and assign the Authorization permission on the Human Resources department to Dan, so that Dan has the Authorization permission on the Human Resources department, as shown in the following figure.

Assigning Authorization Permission on Database Table Management

Dan must have the Authorization permission on the Database Table Management function to assign the relevant permission on this function (including Use permission and Authorization permission) to other users.

Click Data Platform and assign the Authorization permission on the Database Table Management function to Dan, as shown in the following figure.

Assigning Authorization Permission on Data Connection

To use the Database Table Management function, you must have the Use permission for a specific data connection. Since Dan needs to assign the Use permission on a data connection to other users, he must have the Authorization permission on the data connection.

Click Data Connection and assign Authorization permission on the fdl_demo data connection to Dan, as shown in the following figure.

Assigning Use Permission on Permission Management

To assign permission to others in Permission Management, Dan must have the Use permission on Permission Management.

Choose System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration > User's Final Permission, click Dan, choose System Management > Permission Management, and assign the Use permission to Dan, as shown in the following figure.

Effect Display

1. Log in to FineDataLink as the user Dan. You can assign the Use permission on the Database Table Management function and the Use permission on the fdl_demo data connection to the Human Resources department, as shown in the following figure.

2. If Jack from the Human Resources department is a data development user, he can use the Database Table Management function after logging in to FineDataLink, as shown in the following figure.
