Simplified the steps of connecting FanRuan projects (which were called O&M projects after connection) to FineOps.
V2.8.0
Added a server resource assessment for stability when deploying/connecting to multiple projects.
The FineOps O&M platform provides solutions for the stable operation and comprehensive O&M management for FanRuan applications.
FineOps supports the connection to deployed FineReport, FineBI, and FineDataLink projects.
This document introduces how to connect a deployed project to FineOps.
Requirement Description
FineBI
2. For non-FineOps deployed FineBI projects:
Ensure that the project is deployed in Tomcat on the Linux/Windows system.
Ensure the project is of V5.1.22 or later versions.
FineReport
1. Any FineOps-deployed FineReport project is supported.
2. For non-FineOps deployed FineReport projects:
Ensure the project is of V11.0.6 or later versions.
FineDataLink
1. Any FineOps-deployed FineDataLink project is supported.
2. For non-FineOps deployed FineDataLink projects:
Ensure the project is of V4.1.5 (2024.02.03) or later versions.
Version Checking Method
Log in to the FineReport/FineBI/FineDataLink project as the admin, and choose System Management > Registration Management > Version Information to view the minor version number of each module in the project.
Solution
Update the project to the latest version by referring to Minor Version Upgrade Guide for FineReport and Minor Version Upgrade Guide for FineBI.
FineOps itself is free of charge. However, FanRuan projects must have the O&M Platform or Intelligent O&M function point registered to connect to FineOps.
If Function Point Registered does not include O&M Platform, the error message "Currently lic is not authorized" will appear when you initiate connection requests.
Ensure that the servers where FineOps and the project to be managed are located can communicate with each other over the intranet. Failure to connect FanRuan projects to FineOps or hindered function use will occur in case of connectivity failure.
If specific port communication is required, ensure that at least the NGINX port of FineOps and the project port of FineReport/FineBI/FineDataLink can access each other.
1. Ensure that the FineReport/FineBI/FineDataLink project is equipped with the System O&M plugin.
2. Confirm the required version of the System O&M plugin according to the FineOps version. You are advised to upgrade FineOps and the plugin to the latest version.
V2.0 and earlier versions
V2.x
V3.0.0 and later versions
Connecting projects to FineOps will consume some resources of the FineOps server.
If the configured FineOps resources are insufficient, the new project cannot be deployed. It will prompt "The FineOps configuration has reached the upper limit, and no new projects are supported. Proceed as follows as soon as possible: Increase the Xmx value."
1. Log in to FineOps as the admin and choose Platform Management > O&M Component.
2. Locate the ops component and click Modify Configuration.
3. Check the Xmx configuration of the ops component.
If no relevant prompt appears, no modification is needed.
If the prompt "Set the Xmx value to greater than N GB to ensure the normal connection to new projects." appears, modify the configuration accordingly.
For details, see O&M Component Management.
Log in to the FanRuan project as the admin, and choose System Management > System Setting > General.
Set O&M Platform Address in O&M Platform Connection Setting, and click Save.
The O&M platform address is in the format of http://IP address:Port number/ops/decision.
Log in to FineOps as the admin within five minutes. A prompt appears on FineOps, saying "Found New Project."
Access Address
Deployment Method
docker: The project is deployed via FineOps.
web: The project is deployed in Tomcat, not via FineOps.
Type
Standalone: The project has only one project node.
Cluster: The project has multiple project nodes.
Number of Nodes
It refers to the number of nodes.
2. Click Add Project, set Project Name, and click OK.
The project name must not be empty or be duplicated.
Only Chinese characters, English letters (upper and lower cases), and numbers are supported.
The project name length cannot exceed 12 digits.
3. After the project is successfully connected to FineOps, the prompt "The project was deployed successfully. You can view newly added projects in Project Management." will appear.
1. You can view the successfully connected project in Project Management in FineOps.
2. You can view the address and the current access status of FineOps under System Management > System Setting > General in the O&M project.
