Merging and Unmerging cells

Function Description

In Excel, you can merge and unmerge cells. The FineReport designer also provides the same function.

Choose Cell > Merge Cells or click  on the toolbar to merge required cells. The following figure shows the effects before and after merging.

If the cells to be merged contain data, a prompt "The selected area contains multiple data records. After you merge these cells, only the data in the upper left corner of all edited cells will be reserved." will pop up when you merge the cells, as shown in the following figure.

Cell Unmerging

Choose Cell > Unmerge Cells or click  on the toolbar to unmerge the cells, thereby restoring the cells to their original unmerged state. The following figure shows the effects of merged and unmerged cells.
