I. Overview
1) In making a report, if there is no corresponding data in the report, then a prompt that reads “No data” will appear.
2) Users may customize the prompt content or image that appears when chart data is empty.
II. Steps
1. Add a chart
1) Select a cell, click [Cell Element] in the right-hand pane and choose [Insert Chart].
2) Select a chart type, for example, a pie chart, and click OK.
3) Click Preview to check the effect when there is no data.
2. Set Empty Data Hint to Off
1) Click [Server] on the top and choose [Empty Data Hint].
2) The default [Empty Data Hint] image is shown in the pop-up window.
3) If no hint is expected when there is no chart data, set [Prompt Content] to [Off]. Preview the report to check the effect after it is set to Off.
3. Custom image as the hint – original image size
1) Sometimes, you can customize the [Empty Data Hint] image for uniform report styles.
2) Click [Custom] in [Empty Data Hint]. The picture mode is automatically [Default], which means a custom image will be displayed in its original size.
3) Click [Select Picture] to select a picture locally and click [OK] to upload the picture. You can see the corresponding picture in the left-hand preview interface.
4) Click Preview to view the report and the corresponding prompt image has changed to the custom image which is displayed in its original size.
4. Custom image as the hint – adaptive image size
1) Click [Custom] in [Empty Data Hint] and select [Adaptive] as the picture mode, which means a custom image will be adapted to the prompt area.
2) Click [Select Picture] to select a picture locally and click [OK] to upload the picture. You can see the corresponding picture in the left-hand preview interface.
3) Click Preview to view the report and the corresponding prompt image has changed to the custom image which is displayed in an adaptive manner.
