Application Scenario
The column chart - area chart is a combined chart that combines the column chart, which represents the amount of data by the height or length of columns with the same width, and the area chart that emphasizes the change in quantity over time.
The column chart - area chart can intuitively represent and compare the amount of data, clearly display the proportional differences among the data, and show the relationships between parts and the whole.
The following figure shows a column chart - area chart.
Chart Feature
Simple and intuitive, the chart is suitable not only for comparing the differences among various groups of data but also for presenting the changing trend in a certain dimension and comparing the trends of multiple groups of data in the same dimension.
Example
Data Preparation
1. Create a built-in dataset, as shown in the following figure.
Chart Insertion
Merge required cells, click the Insert Chart icon on the upper toolbar, select Column Chart - Area Chart in Combination Chart, and click OK, as shown in the following figure.
Chart Design
Select the chart, click the Cell Element icon on the right property panel, and set the attributes (Type, Data, Style, and Special Effect) for the chart.
Chart Type
Select the cell where the chart is located and choose Cell Element > Type to view and select the chart type.
Data Binding
Click Data and bind required data to the column chart - area chart, as shown in the following figure.
Style Setting
For basic style setting, modify the title of the column chart - area chart, and retain the default settings of other items.
On the basis of the general functions of chart styles, the column chart - area chart added the setting for customizing the stacking and axis attributes, as shown in the following figure.
Note: The custom setting items for the column chart and the area chart are the same. Here, the setting items for the column chart is introduced.
1. Customize the axis.
Choose Style > Axis, click the xxx icon added for adding other X axis or Y axis, and set the attribute for the new coordinate.
2. Customize the stacking attribute of the column chart.
The added axis needs to match the values of a specific series. Choose Style > Series > Column Chart, and you can customize the stacking attributes of the axes and the corresponding relationships with the series in Stack and Axis.

Save the report and click Pagination Preview. The following figure shows the preview effect.
Mobile Terminal
The report can be previewed on both the DataAnalyst app and the HTML5 terminal. The following figure shows the effect.
