Chart Feature

Data in the box plot by group contains one categorical variable and multiple continuous variables.

In this example, one categorical variable Item and three continuous variables, namely the corresponding values of the common jasmine, jasmine 1, and jasmine 2, are included in the data of the box plot by group, as shown in the following figure.

Data Preparation

1. Click to download Jasmine Data.xlsx, and place the file to %FR_HOME%\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF\reportlets, as shown in the following figure. (Relevant data about different jasmine flowers are stored in the file.)

2. Choose File > New General Report and add a file dataset as shown in the following figure. You can click Preview in the lower right corner of the File Dataset setting box to preview the dataset data.

Note: The sample template uses the built-in dataset for the convenience of your viewing.

3. The following figure shows the previewed data.

Chart Insertion

Merge required cells, click the Insert Chart icon on the upper toolbar, select Box Plot, and click OK, as shown in the following figure.

Data Binding

Since the dataset contains specific data, set Data Form to Detail Data, as shown in the following figure.

Style Setting

1. Choose Style > Title, set Text to Box Plot by Group, align the title to the left in Position, and set the font size to 20, font type to Microsoft YaHei, and font color to black in Character, as shown in the following figure.

2. Choose Style > Series, set Color Scheme to bright, and set Point Style to General, Type to , Fill Color to Series Color, and Radius to 4px in the Abnormal Value area, as shown in the following figure.

3. Choose Style > Background > Drawing Area, and set Horizontal to the dotted line in the Gridline area, as shown in the following figure.

Effect Display

PC

Save the report and click Pagination Preview. The section "Application Scenario" shows the effect.

Mobile Terminal

The report can be previewed on both the DataAnalyst app and the HTML5 terminal. The following figure shows the effect.
