Drop-down Checkbox Selects All By Default

1. Description

Actually, the drop-down checkbox will select all data by default during preview, as shown below:

2. Solution

Widget value can be set using field or formula to fulfill requirement.

1. Data preparation

Create a new dataset ds1,  and enter the SQL statement: SELECT * FROM Employe, as shown below:

2. Report design

1) Click Template > Template Parameters to add the template parameter, set the Name to Name, as shown below:

2) Edit the parameter pane, click Add All, select the Drop-down Checkbox widget, bind the data dictionary to ds1, and both the Actual Value and the Displaye Value are Full_name, as shown below:

3. Solution 1: Field

Check the Drop-down Checkbox widget, choose Widget Setting > Attributes > Advanced > Widget Value > Field, and bind the Full_name field of ds1.

4. Solution 2: Formula

Check the Drop-down Checkbox widget, choose Widget Setting > Attributes > Advanced > Widget Value > Formula, and enter the formula: value("ds1","Full_name").

5. Preview effect

Click "Pagination Preview" to see the effect shown in Section I.1 of this article.
