Template Missing Plugin Prompt

I. Overview

1. Version

Report Server VersionFeature Changes
10.0.17Added "plugin missing prompt" function

2. Application scenarios

During template development, the same template may be opened and previewed on different designers or projects. For example, if the user designs the template on the local designer and mounts it on the server, the user designs the template on the test project and mounts the template. On formal projects, share templates between different users, etc.

When the project environment for opening and previewing the template changes, the effect designed by the plugin in the template often disappears. The reason is that the plugin depends on the project and will not follow the template changes. After the template is moved, if the corresponding plugin is not installed in the new project environment, the corresponding plugin effect will not be displayed.

10.0.17 and later versions have added the function of reminding the missing plugins. When the template is replaced with a project, if the plugin used in the template is not installed or enabled in the new project, the user will be reminded to install or enable it, saving the user's check time.

3. Function introduction

The missing plugin reminder function will remind the user when the designer opens the template to confirm whether the template uses a plugin that is not installed in the current project environment. If there is, a pop-up window will remind the user to deal with it.

Note: Plugins of version 9.0, report block refresh plugins, self-adaption plugins, extended charts, new calculation engines, cloud operation and maintenance, and sampling cache plugins do not have detection prompts, that is, the above plugins are not installed in the project, and they are not used in the template. A pop-up window will prompt and be recorded in the log.

II. Prompt when opening template

1. Prompt function

1)Local project

When a user opens a template with the designer, if the local project of the plugin designer used in the template is not installed, a pop-up window will prompt the user: The plugin failed to load, there may be an error when saving and previewing the template, please install and enable the missing plugin. As shown below:

The pop-up window displays the missing plugins in the current project in detail. Users can click the Ignore button to close the pop-up window, and open the Plugin Management for corresponding processing or modify the template; they can also click the One-click processing button to let the designer process it automatically. .

After clicking the One-click processing button, the designer will automatically install or enable the missing plugin and pop up a receipt message. As shown below:

Note: After clicking the One-click processing button, the plugins automatically processed by the designer are only the plugins in the template store.

2)Remote connection

When the user connects to the server remotely, use the designer to open the template. If the plugin used in the template is not installed to the currently connected project, a pop-up window will prompt the user: The plugin failed to load, there may be an error when saving and previewing the template, please install and enable the missing plugin. As shown below:

Note: To use this feature, it is recommended that users upgrade both the designer and server versions to 10.0.17 . If the designer version does not conform, this function will not be available; if the server version does not conform, it will not be recorded in the log when the template is used in the decision system or previewed.
