Application Scenario

Scenario one:

Converting the results of data analysis into Word reports is a common business requirement. However, directly exporting reports to Word may fail to meet the requirements of official reports.

Official reports actually have high requirements on both the content and layout. For example, you may want to add descriptive statements into a report for indicator analysis and have fixed requirements on the fonts and paragraph formats.

If you export the report directly to Word, the Word file will only contain the content of the report. Moreover, its format and layout are default and not editable.

Scenario two:

If a report involves many data indicators, it is troublesome and error-prone to manually edit these numbers every time.

For example, in the air quality monitoring report shown in the following figure, the framed items are data indicators that change every month. How can you make such a report automatically generated every month?

Solution in FineReport:

The Word Report plugin, newly launched by FineReport, adopts a design pattern of "WPS + Designer".

The elements, such as dataset fields, parameters, formulas, charts, and tables in the designer, are referred to as resources, which are prepared or designed in the designer.

You can insert these resources into WPS and adjust the format and layout of these resources to export the report as a Word file in a fixed format.

When previewing a Word report template, you can see the final effect of the report, which can be exported exactly as you see it.
