Functions
This article mainly describes the display logic of the start page when the designer starts, and how to make choices in practical use. The logical relationship of the designer start page is as follows.
Start Page Configuration
Enabling/Disabling Start Page
When the designer is installed, the option Automatically Open Start Page Upon Designer Startup is ticked by default. You can choose File > Options to enable or disable the start page.
Tick Automatically Open Start Page Upon Designer Startup: When the designer starts, the designer start page opens automatically. You can select the working directory as needed on the start page.
Untick Automatically Open Start Page Upon Designer Startup: When the designer starts, it automatically opens the working directory used last time.
Selecting Working Directory
After Automatically Open Start Page Upon Designer Startup is ticked, the designer automatically opens the designer start page when it starts. The start page displays Working Directory Name and Working Directory Path. The first working directory displayed is the one that you opened the last time, followed by other working directories in alphabetical order.
If there are no more than six working directories, all are displayed.
If there are more than six working directories, the first six are displayed. You can display all work directories by clicking Expand All.
There are three ways to open the working directory.
Open the specified working directory by double clicking the working directory. No template is opened and the New Template page is displayed.
Open the specified working directory by clicking
on the right of the working directory. A blank template is created.
Open the specified working directory by clicking the template name. The specified template is opened.
