I. Overview
Fanruan has always been committed to serving customers better. With the changes in user needs, in order to meet user needs, we continue to improve the practicability and adaptability of FineReport and release new versions. Users can check the version number of the designer by clicking on the designer Help>About Software. As shown below:
The version number includes major version and minor version, major versions such as 10.0, 9.0, 8.0, 7.0, 6.5, etc. The major version contains the minor version, and the user can distinguish the minor version according to the time of the JAR package.
Note: Starting from 2020-08-31, the FineReport software released by FanRuan will display the minor version number and release time, which can be checked in the designer "Help>About Software".
Note: The higher version is backward compatible with the lower version, but the lower version is not upward compatible with the higher version, that is, templates made or opened with the higher version cannot be opened with the lower version. For example, after a template made with 9.0 is opened once in the 10.0 designer, it cannot be opened with 9.0; obviously, a template made with 10.0 cannot be opened with 9.0 or 8.0.
II. Time of FineReport minor version
You can check the JAR package time through the designer Help>About Software or through the system registration information. Different JAR package times correspond to different versions.
From 2020-08-31, the FineReport software released by FanRuan will display the minor version number and release time, which can be checked in the designer Help>About Software. As shown below:
