Extended Chart - Arc Column Chart

    The Arc Column Chart in the “Extended Chart -Column” are intended to compare values.

    II. Steps

    1. Add an Arc Column Chart

    1) Click [Floating Element] > [Chart], and select [Extended Chart-Column] > [Arc Column Chart].

    2) Adjust the size of the chart.

     

     

    2. Prepare data

    Create a new DB Query dataset[ds1] and drag the sheet [Sales_Volume].

    3. Set the “Data” for the chart

    1) Set the “Data” for the chart as shown in the figure below, and select [Sum] as [Summary Method]. If the “Sorted by” field is selected as [Order], the largest data are in the outermost circumference.

    3) If the “Sorted by” field is selected as [Reverse order], the smallest data are in the outermost circumference.

    4) If the “Sorted by” field is selected as [Original], the data that appeared first in the data sheet is in the outermost circumference.

    4. Set title

    1) Select [Style] > [Title], and enter “Sales Volume” in the “Text” field. Set the background color of the title to white and the opacity to 30.

    5. Set label

    1) Select [Label] and check [Category name] and [Value] to customize the text style of the label.

    6. Set chart styles

    1) Select[Graphics], and [Default], [Automatic Gradient] or [Customized Gradient] from the dropdown of the “Style”. In the example herein, [Automatic Gradient] is selected.

    2) If [Default] is selected from the dropdown of the “Style”, no gradient effect will be observed in a preview mode.

     

    3) If [Customized Gradient] is selected, you can customize the colors at both ends of the gradient bar.

    7. Set category interval

    1) The category interval is the spacing between every two arc columns, and the category interval in the example here remains 38 by default.

    2) If the category interval is reduced, the arc columns will be more compact.

     

    8. Set inner radius

    1) You can set the ratio of the inner radius to the total diameter, and the inner radius in the examples here remains 34% by default.

    2) If the ratio of inner radius is reduced, the arc column can occupy more space, and the width of each column will be increased accordingly.

     

    9. Set the value axis

    1) Select [Value axis]. By default, [Custom max value] and [Custom log base] are not checked. If no max value is customized, the largest angle formed by the arc column will be 270 degrees, occupying three-quarters of a circle

     

    2) If a max value is customized, the largest angle formed by the arc column will be 360 degrees, that is, occupying a whole circle.

    3) If the “Logscale base axis” is checked, the gap between the arc columns will be reduced.


    10. Set the tooltip style

    1) Select [Tooltip] to set the content, text style, border, background and tip policy of the Tooltip.

    2) The default effect of the Tootip is as follows

     

    3) The prompt box is set as [Unfollow] by default. 

     

    4) It can also be set to [Follow mouse].
