[Direct Connection] Data Connection to Kyligence (Enterprise Edition)

Application Scenario

This document introduces how to connect to the Kyligence (enterprise edition) data source.

The database cannot be used in FineBI unless directly connected to it.

Database Version and Driver

Data connection URL format: jdbc:kylin://Hostname:Port number/database?fineBIDialect=kyligence

Note:

You need to download the driver package of the appropriate version for your database from the official website.

Preparation

1. Download the driver package and upload it to FineBI. For details, see section "Uploading the Database Driver" in Driver Management. The following figure shows the driver upload page. Click Save after successful upload.

2. Before connecting FineBI to the database, you need to collect the following information:

• IP address and port number of the database server

• Username and password of the database

• Schema of the database to be connected

1. Choose System Management > Data Connection > Data Connection Management, click Create, and select Data Connection, as shown in the following figure.

2. Find the Kyligence database, as shown in the following figure.

3. Select the driver uploaded in section "Preparation" and enter the connection information collected in the section. To ensure correct data retrieval, append ?fineBIDialect=kyligence to the direct connection URL, as shown in the following figure.

You can modify other advanced settings on the page as needed. For details, see section "Advanced Setting" in Entry-Level Data Connection Configuration.

4. Click Test Connection. If the connection is successful, click Save, as shown in the following figure.
