FineBI makes it convenient for users to process data and create visualization, helping users uncover the insights behind the data.
After you obtain the data, the first step for data analysis is to determine analysis perspectives. In other words, it's about how to break down and interpret the data indicators. You can build your indicator system to meet your analysis needs.
This document explains approaches to determine analysis perspectives and break down objectives into key performance indicators.
The following figure shows the process.
This document will take two examples for explanation.
The first step in breaking down data indicators is specifying your analysis objectives.
For example, two tasks need to be completed.
After specifying objectives, you should identify problems that need to be solved. You can use mind maps to record problems that arise when examining the objectives.
After specifying the problems, you need to determine quantifiable indicators to measure the problems and establish their calculation formulas.
Once the calculation formulas are identified, you can analyze the relevant components to identify influencing factors. For example, since Sales = Unit Price × Quantity, you may examine Unit Price and Quantity to investigate sales fluctuations, holding one indicator constant while analyzing variations in the other indicators.
You can use formula results as indicators and expand dimensions (e.g., region, time period, product category) to examine variations across different dimensional perspectives.
Display results in a general -to- specific hierarchy, as shown in the following figure.
