A group table is composed of a row header and indicator data and does not have a column header.
The group table groups data according to the dimensions dragged into the row headers and performs summary statistics on data in indicators.
You can create a group table to display the business status as mentioned above through the following steps.
Download the example data Pareto Data Analysis in Data Center.
1. Log in to FineBI and find Pareto Data Analysis in Data Center. Click Create Analysis Subject as shown in the following figure.
2. Click Group Chart in Chart Type, drag Area and Brand Description into Dimension, and drag gross profit and sales volume into Indicator. Select Display Row Header Node under Component Style > Format, as shown in the following figure.
Create a Gross Profit Margin Field
Click the + icon to add a calculation field named Gross Profit Margin with the formula shown in the following table.
Implementation Method
1. Obtain the total gross profit and total sales volume of Central China with the formula SUM_AGG().
2. Obtain the gross profit margin with the calculation indicator SUM_AGG(${gross profit})/SUM_AGG(${sales volume}).
Note: You cannot obtain the summary value without aggregate functions.
Adding a Ranking Field
Copy Gross Profit Margin and rename it as "Gross Profit Margin Rank". Drag these two fields into Indicator, click Gross Profit Margin Rank, and choose Quick Calculation > Ranking > Descend, as shown in the following figure.
The significance of Descend is that the higher the gross profit margin, the smaller the ranking, which means it is closer to the top.
Choose Component Style > Style > Theme Color, as shown in the following figure.
If you want to adjust the display type of the table, such as tree display, choose Component Style >Style and click Tree Display, as shown in the following figure.
Rename the component below the component editing page, as shown in the following figure.
Setting the Component Title in the Dashboard
Click Add Dashboard and drag the finished component into the dashboard. Select Edit Title, and you can customize the font style of the component title by selecting the text, as shown in the following figure.
If you need to add a summary row or summary column in the table, see Summary Row/Column.
You can click + to expand the group table, as shown in the following figure.
If you want to expand the group table by default to display all dimension fields, choose Component Style > Format and select Display Row Header Node, as shown in the following figure.
