Application Scenario

This document introduces how to connect to the TiDB database in FineBI.

Preparation

Version and Driver

Supported Database Version	Driver
V5.2.0	com.mysql.jdbc.Driver (built-in, no need to download)

Connection Information Collection

Before connecting FineBI to the database, you need to collect the following information:

IP address and port number of the database server
Database name
Username and password of the database

Connection Procedure

1. Log in to the FineBI system, choose System Management > Data Connection > Data Connection Management, click Create, and select Data Connection, as shown in the following figure.

2. Find the TiDB database, as shown in the following figure.

3. Enter the data connection configuration page, and enter the relevant information for the connection in section "Connection Information Collection", as shown in the following figure.

Note:

You can modify other advanced settings as needed. For details, see the "Advanced Settings" section in Entry-Level Data Connection Configuration.

4. Click Test Connection. If the connection is successful, click Save, as shown in the following figure.
